Whole Foods Fundraiser
We had a great day at 3 Whole Foods Markets (Wellington, Palm Beach Gardens and West Palm Beach) on 8/3/16. PBSO Volunteers issued hundreds of Child IDs, PBSO specialty units demonstrated their skills, PBSO Explorers and Shop With a Cop personnel passed out brochures, and Sheriff's Foundation board members interacted with customers. Thanks to all the friendly shoppers, and to Whole Foods for hosting us and donating 5% of the day's sales to our Foundation!
In addition, our Foundation is also the beneficiary of the Whole Foods Donate Your Dime program from July through September, 2016. When customers bring in their own bags, they get a 10 cent credit per bag. Cashiers ask those customers if they would like to donate those credits to the local charity of the quarter, and most of the customers say yes. So this will provide even more funds to help us make a positive impact in the community! |
